Chicago turned a good effort from starter Al Miller into a win over the Philadelphia Keystones at Whitney Park. The final score was 4-2. Chicago is now 47-55, while Philadelphia is 50-49.

Chicago took a 3-1 lead on Dave Krieger's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Philadelphia pitcher Charlie Waddell in the bottom of the eighth.

"Bottom line," said Philadelphia skipper Carl Ames, "we didn't play well enough to win."
