Eagles Win, Now 45-38 | Washington pitcher Dan Everett did his part in helping his team beat the New York Gothams, 7-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win puts Washington at 45-38 this season.
The Eagles got a big hit from left fielder Rudy Ellison. In the bottom of the seventh, Ellison pounded a bases-clearing double to right. His 3rd double of the season put the Eagles ahead, 7-1.
