Miners Stumble, Lose to Minutemen | The Boston Minutemen beat the Pittsburgh Miners, 8-1, at Minuteman Stadium. Boston third baseman Billy Dalton had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times. Butch Campbell got the win, improving to 2-2. He worked 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 4. The Minutemen now have a record of 37-41.
