Chiefs Raise Rally Flag, Beat Philadelphia, 7-5 | Chicago Chiefs starter Rabbit Day turned in a workmanlike performance against the Philadelphia Keystones at Whitney Park. Day picked up the win for Chicago, going 8 innings. He gave up 5 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 8-7. Luis Sandoval was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 4 save opportunities.
Chicago took a 6-5 lead on Hank Barnett's 2nd triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Barnett hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Philadelphia pitcher Pepper Tuttle shaking his head.
