Eagles Win, 3-1, Versus Keystones
Washington starter Juan Tostado put a stranglehold on the Philadelphia offense. The right-hander had complete command of his forkball in leading the Eagles to a 3-1 win. Tostado got the win, improving to 9-3. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. Tostado allowed 1 run. The Eagles now have a record of 39-31.

The Keystones had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Eagles going into the top of the third inning. That changed quickly when the four-time All-Star Jesse Alvardo came to the plate. Alvardo hit a bases-clearing triple on a 0-1 curveball from Philadelphia hurler Pepper Tuttle. It was Alvardo's 4th triple of the year.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Alvardo said after the game.
