Minton Stars for Keystones in 12-6 Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Washington Eagles and Philadelphia Keystones get after it.

Behind a fine performance from Rudy Minton, the Philadelphia Keystones knocked off the Washington Eagles, 12-6. Minton went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Keystones. The winning pitcher was Joe Quade. His record is now 5-7. The right-hander went 9 innings, allowing 6 runs on 8 hits for the Keystones.

Minton contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Philadelphia in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 3-2, Minton took a changeup from Buckeye Smith and stroked the home run to center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Keystones to leap in front, 5-3.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Minton said.
