Cincinnati starter Tony Britten had a strong outing against the New York Stars at Dyckman Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-3 win. The win lifted the Cincinnati record to 36-28.

The Cannons got a gift in the top of the fifth inning, when they were leading 3-1. With two out and the bases loaded, Tony Britten reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. It made the score 4-1, Cincinnati.
