The Washington Eagles turned back the Boston Minutemen, 7-6, at Columbia Stadium. Tom Lorang, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Washington pitcher Otto Caudill earned the win, hiking his record to 3-2. Don Griffin suffered the loss. The Minutemen fall to 9-13 and continue their lackluster start to the 1962 season.

Brad Keylon was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eagles catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Lorang told the Washington Observer.
