| Cleveland Shut Out, 1-0, By Stars, Tostado | Juan Tostado of the Los Angeles Stars shut out the Cleveland Foresters, 1-0, at Forester Stadium, holding them to 7 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.
Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Cleveland skipper Art Newton called the outing from Tostado "a jewel."
"The way Tostado was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
