Ralph Weatherbee left his imprint on the 7-3 Washington win against the Boston Minutemen. Weatherbee, who is tied for 3rd in the FA in stolen bases with 3, was 2-2 with 2 singles and 3 walks. He scored 2 times. The Minutemen fall to 9-12 and continue their uneven start to the 1962 season.
Jimmy Brown, who is the 4th-best prospect in the Eagles organization, aided the Washington cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a walk.
