The Montreal Saints firmly defeated the Toronto Wolves, 18-4, at Dominion Stadium. The Montreal offense was lit. Joe Scott, for one, had a solid game. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for the Saints. Ken Crossley went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The right-hander struck out 2 and walked 3. With the win, he's now 3-4 this season. Montreal's record now stands at 28-24, placing them 4th in the Continental Association.

Scott had a key at-bat for Montreal in the top of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 6th double of the season and gave Montreal an early 1-0 lead.

In comments to the Montreal Gazette, Scott admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
