Minneapolis right fielder Hugh Pate contributed significantly to his team's 11-5 win over the Boston Minutemen. Pate, who is tied for 5th in the FA in doubles with 10, went 3 for 6 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Millers. Minneapolis, with the win, climbs to 6-33.

One pivotal at-bat came with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Boston trailing 7-0, Don Hillshire needed to bear down against Joe Kleman. Hillshire won the battle, as Kleman lined out and the Millers went on to win.
