Keystones Stun Pioneers, 10-5 | Keystones center fielder Harry Dellinger put his stamp on his team's 10-5 win over the St. Louis Pioneers. Dellinger was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Philadelphia in the contest. The win for the Keystones lifted their record to 93-66.
Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Bobby Phelps to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Keystones on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Dellinger. | |
