| Imperials Get Past Toronto for 3-2 Win | Getting an impressive start from Milt Lane, New York beat Toronto by the score of 3-2. New York reliever Glenn Webb was the winner. His record is now 4-4. Phil Colantuono took the loss. The Imperials raised their record to 38-112.
Amos Weatherby was 1 for 3 for New York. The 27-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Zeke Blake. It was his 36th RBI of the season.
"Nice to get this one," said Lane. "Wins have been hard to come by."
