Gilman Lifts Saints to 10-4 Win
1963 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Dallas Wranglers.

The Montreal Saints beat the Dallas Wranglers, 10-4, at Stade Montreal. Montreal center fielder Bill Gilman had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Bob Nelson was the winner. Over 8 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 9 strikeouts.

Gilman contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Montreal get the win.

"It feels good to get this one," Gilman told the Montreal Daily News.
