Wolves Get Past Kansas City, 3-2 | Toronto Wolves starter Phil Colantuono pitched well against the Kansas City Kings at Dominion Stadium, leading his team to a win, 3-2. Toronto now has a record of 77-72 with the win.
Had Cal Wells not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Wells hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Wolves.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Toronto manager Randy Hohlt. "It's usually not just one thing." | |
