| Suns Win, 3-2, at Philadelphia | William Davis, who finished 4th in the FA in innings pitched with 233.1 in 1961, pitched well, but the Philadelphia Keystones still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Los Angeles Suns at Broad Street Park II. Los Angeles, with the win, climbs to 49-102.
Grant Davis dealt the Keystones a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 3rd and Los Angeles leading 2-0, Davis, who finished 2nd in the CA in ERA with 3.06 in 1958, hit a 2-2 sinker for a run-scoring single.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Los Angeles manager Bill Morrill.
