Wranglers Lose as Imperials Stage Late Rally
Getting a good performance from shortstop Tommie Williams, the New York Imperials defeated the Dallas Wranglers, 5-3. Williams went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles for the Imperials. Eddie Webb picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 8-9. Hank Berkowitz, who is tied for 7th in the CA in saves with 15, was tagged with the loss. The Imperials raised their record to 48-99.

New York went up, 4-3, on Jay Ziegler Jr.'s 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Ziegler Jr. hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Dallas pitcher Hank Berkowitz shaking his head.
