Chicago Gets 6-2 Road Win
Chicago turned a good performance from Dick Champ into a 6-2 triumph over the Cleveland Foresters at Forester Stadium. With the win, Chicago upped its record to 54-43.

Chicago used a well-timed hit by Gene Case to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cougars ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Champ.
