Forester Stadium featured a tense pitchers' duel.

Ducky Davis was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Forester Stadium. In fact, the Cleveland Foresters right-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Stars. Hank Berkowitz, credited with the win, is now 4-5. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings.

Tom Jeffries was the walk-off hero for Cleveland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Foresters pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Jeffries said.

The first-place Foresters hiked their record to 28-21.
