Minutemen Rally to Win | Despite a great performance by Los Angeles second baseman Bill Bell, the Boston Minutemen defeated the Suns by the score of 5-4 at Minuteman Stadium. Bell went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Los Angeles, with the loss, is still a hardy 6-2.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when pinch hitter Bobby Martinez, who is rated as the 40th best prospect by BNN, hit a 2-run triple. The Minutemen went on to win.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Los Angeles manager Bill Morrill. | |
