| Miners Get 5-4 Win Versus New York | Fitzpatrick Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Pittsburgh Miners and New York Gothams.
The Pittsburgh Miners locked up a win at Fitzpatrick Park, knocking off the New York Gothams, 5-4. On the mound for Pittsburgh was right-hander Howie Harris. He played a major role in the triumph. Harris got the win, improving to 4-3. He gave up 6 hits and walked 5 over 8.2 innings. He allowed 4 runs.
Reid McLaughlin, who is tied for 4th in the FA in stolen bases with 6, aided the Pittsburgh cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman drew 1 walk.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said New York manager Ad Doria.
The second-place Miners go to 29-21.
