Stars Rally Late to Nip Cougars
Los Angeles Stars starter Hub Armstrong found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Chicago Cougars. Los Angeles reliever Lou Walker picked up the win to move to 2-1. David Molina suffered the loss. The third-place Stars have won 5 consecutive games.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Los Angeles shortstop Paul Watson, facing David Molina, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Stars the 4-3 win.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Armstrong.
