| Sailors Squelch Stars Offense in Shutout Win | George Fuller pitched a gem to lead San Francisco to victory over the Los Angeles Stars, 6-0. Fuller picked up the win for San Francisco, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. With the victory, the Sailors upped their record to 19-17.
San Francisco took a 2-0 lead on Allan Griffen's 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Griffen hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Earl Wright visibly frustrated.
"For the most part, I felt like I did a pretty good job with executing the pitches I was throwing," said Fuller.
