| Kites Victorious at Osaka, 3-2 | The Kinboshi Kites got a good effort from starter Josuke Fujimori in defeating the Osaka Sailors at Kotei Stadium. The final score was 3-2. With this game in the books, Kinboshi is 19-18, Osaka 13-22.
Hiroji Orido, the 8th overall pick in the 1952 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Orido contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Kinboshi up, 3-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Kinboshi manager Kaita Kurosawa. "It's usually not just one thing."
