| Nagasawa Excels, But Kites Win | The rain did not keep Kinboshi and Nagasaki from finishing their game.
Nagasaki first baseman Kin Nagasawa had a good game, even if his team did not. The Stars dropped a 6-4 decision to Kinboshi at Konohana Stadium. Nagasawa was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Josuke Fujimori, the winning pitcher, is now 2-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 1.
Mitsuyasu Takeno, who is tied for 8th in the WL in doubles with 6, contributed to the Kinboshi win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Takeno told the Kinboshi Chronicle.
Losses have been few and far between for the Stars, now 18-8.
