| Falcons Win at Vesutan, 4-2 | Ryunosuke Saito, who is tied for 7th in the WL with a 1.17 WHIP, propelled his team to victory over the Vesutan Bees. The final score was 4-2, Fukuoka. Saito, now 2-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Kijuro Fukushima finished to wrap up his 4th save.
Fukuoka used a timely hit from Jotaro Murakami to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Falcons ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"Ryunosuke is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Fukuoka manager Horace Jackson.
The loss has the Bees at 9-14.
