| Stars Deal Bees 4-3 Loss | In a tight contest at Fukuoka Stadium, the Nagasaki Stars edged the Vesutan Bees by the score of 4-3. Nagasaki first baseman Kin Nagasawa, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The winning pitcher was Naoto Yoshinaga. His record now stands at 4-1. The left-hander went 7.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits for the Stars. The save went to Masato Yamamoto, his 3rd this season.
Shuuhei Yamashita, who is tied for 3rd in the WL in triples with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. Yamashita contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Nagasaki up, 3-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Yamashita.
