Yamamoto Stars for Kites in 6-5 Win
The Kinboshi Kites and Osaka Sailors played an entertaining game for Kotei Stadium patrons.

Kites shortstop Ayahito Yamamoto put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Osaka Sailors. Yamamoto went 3-4 with a home run, 2 triples, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for Kinboshi in the contest. The win was credited to 29-year old right-handed pitcher Kinya Kodama in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Yataroh Niwa took the loss.

Kinboshi needed the clutch hitting of Taketoshi Shimabukuro to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Kites on top, 6-5. For the game, Shimabukuro had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Yamamoto told the Kinboshi Chronicle.

Kinboshi has a mark of 4-1 after the win.
