The Boston Minutemen beat the Detroit Dynamos, 6-4, at Thompson Field. The win was due in part to second baseman Marshall Thomas, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Max Edwards, the winner, improved to 3-0. He held the Dynamos to 4 runs on 6 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 4. The loss puts Detroit at 3-6.

Joe Kleman came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Kleman.
