Sailors Get Clutch Win Versus Los Angeles
Sailors fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.

The San Francisco Sailors trumped the Los Angeles Stars, 7-6, at Golden Gate Stadium. San Francisco right fielder Charlie Enslow was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win gives San Francisco a record of 5-5.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for San Francisco. That's when Les Cunha, who finished 4th in the CA in RBI with 89 in 1946, hit a run-scoring double off Lou Walker to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"It was terrific getting this win," Cunha said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
