| Minutemen Earn 6-3 Home Win | The New York Gothams and Boston Minutemen left the fans buzzing.
With Ray Rogan leading the charge, the Boston Minutemen defeated the New York Gothams, 6-3. Rogan went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Minutemen. Wally Reif earned the win to go to 1-1. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in 7 innings of work.
In the bottom of the first, Ben McCarty delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Boston left fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Minutemen in front, 6-3.
"Things didn't bounce our way," said New York skipper Ad Doria.
New York, with the loss, is still a hardy 5-2.
