| Rams Tagged with 7-5 Loss | The Kyoto Owls handed the Rakisuta Rams a loss at Owls Park. The final score was 7-5. Major production was provided by Yutaka Yoshida for Kyoto. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 1 run and drove in 3. He also added 2 walks. Kyoto reliever Katsumi Sato picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kiyoshige Abe was saddled with the loss. Naizen Sano picked up the save for Kyoto, his 2nd of the year.
Yoshida had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Kiyoshige Abe, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Owls a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Yoshida.
"We ground out the win," said Yoshida. "That's all that matters."
Kyoto goes to 7-9.
