Behind a fine performance from Bud Miller, the Dallas Centurions knocked off the Oakland Grays, 12-8. Miller was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 8 runs and scored twice for the Centurions. The first-place Grays have dropped 4 straight games.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Miller hit a fastball from Bill Douglass for a grand slam home run. The Centurions, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Miller said in his postgame press conference.
