The Cincinnati Cannons polished off the Chicago Cougars by the score of 5-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to right fielder Charlie Ham. Ham hit 2 home runs for the Cannons. Picking up the save was Paul Williams. He's now 16 for 22 in save chances. The Cannons saw their win-loss record go to 59-67. At the same time, the Cougars fell to 73-49.

The Cannons got a big at-bat from left fielder Dallas Berry. For the game, Berry was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 2-0 lead.
