Kings Earn Clutch Win, 7-6
Cleveland catcher Hal Kennedy had a good game, even if his team did not. The Foresters dropped a 7-6 decision to Kansas City at Prairie Park. Kennedy was 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The first-place Kings have won 4 straight.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Kansas City. That's when Hank Williams, who led the CA in OPS with 1.118 in 1958, hit a run-scoring double off Harry Tracy to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Kansas City manager Glenn Carney.
