Wolves Win, 13-10, Versus Kansas City
The Kansas City Kings could not turn a fine performance from second baseman Billy Bryant into a win. Instead, the Toronto Wolves prevailed, 13-10. Bryant went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Toronto reliever Steve Talley got the win, raising his record to 8-7. Wally Graves was tagged with the loss. The Wolves sit in 5th place in the Continental Association with a record of 75-77.

Larry Curtis had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Wolves. Coming up with the bases loaded and Toronto trailing 7-6, he hit a 2-run single.

In postgame remarks to the Toronto Chronicle, Curtis was in a reflective mood. "Sometimes," he said, "I can't believe my good luck. Playing a game and making a living at it."
