| Bloom goes 3-for-3 in Chiefs Win | The home crowd had a good time watching the Los Angeles Suns and Chicago Chiefs get after it.
Powered by Ed Bloom, the Chicago Chiefs downed the Los Angeles Suns, 6-3. Bloom went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Chiefs. Vern Osborne, the winner, improved to 12-8. He held Los Angeles to 3 runs on 6 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. Dutch Lane was credited with the save for Chicago, his 12th of the season.
