Foresters Win Another One, 8-7
The Cleveland Foresters faced a tough opponent in Kansas City pitcher Tony Britten, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Prairie Park by a final score of 8-7. Britten went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. Cleveland reliever Hank Berkowitz picked up the win, upping his record to 12-7. Alex Vaughan was saddled with the loss. Hugh Blumenthal, who is tied for 9th in the CA in quality starts with 19, earned the save for Cleveland.

Cleveland used a timely hit from John Low to get the win. The shortstop stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Foresters ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Winning never gets old," said Low.

Cleveland has run its win streak to 7 in a row.
