| Saints Bats Go Cold Against Wranglers | In a low-scoring contest between the Dallas Wranglers and the Montreal Saints, Gene Amico, who finished 2nd in the FA in saves with 20 in 1957, proved to be the difference. The Dallas right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Wranglers win. Hank Berkowitz recorded the save, making him 5 for 7. The Wranglers win now puts them at 35-49.
Amico, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 2-7. In 8.1 innings of work, Amico gave up no runs on 3 hits, while racking up 5 Ks. He kept the Saints punchless, offensively.
"A great game, a great day," said Amico about the win. "I can't complain."
