| Fading Cannons Lose 7th Straight | The Cleveland Foresters beat the Cincinnati Cannons, 4-3, at Forester Stadium. Larry McClure, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI. The defeat makes Cincinnati 67-83.
Had McClure not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, McClure hit a 2-run single. The Foresters took the lead, 4-3, and never looked back.
"Things will change for us," said Cincinnati manager Buddy Baumgart. "When things change, we'll get clicking."
