New York and Philadelphia got after it at Broad Street Park II.

A 3-RBI performance from Earl Howe, who is tied for 2nd in the FA in home runs with 35, helped the New York Gothams beat the Philadelphia Keystones, 5-2. With the win, New York goes to 81-66, while the Keystones fall to 69-78.

New York used a timely hit from Chief Lewis to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gothams ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

New York manager Ad Doria called it "a pretty good win."
