The Montreal Saints beat the Los Angeles Stars, 10-7, at Bigsby Stadium. Montreal center fielder Joe Austin had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. Montreal is now 72-75, Los Angeles 64-82.

Maurice Carter's at-bat in the top of the eighth was significant, coming with a runner on 2nd and the game tied, 7-7. The Montreal first baseman hit a run-scoring single off Harry Trinity to put the Saints up.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Austin.
