| Cannons Clip Stars, 6-5 | The Cincinnati Cannons beat the Los Angeles Stars by a score of 6-5. Cincinnati catcher Dan Scurlock deserved the lion's share of the credit. Scurlock went 1-2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Cannons. Cincinnati, at 67-76, occupies 6th place in the Continental Association.
Bill Barrett drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances for Cincinnati. With one out and the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, Barrett, who finished 4th in the CA in doubles with 34 in 1947, had a clutch at-bat.
