Cincinnati 7-6 Win Hard-Earned
Larry Lewis led the charge as the Cincinnati Cannons defeated the Cleveland Foresters, 7-6, in 12 innings at Forester Stadium. Lewis, who finished 5th in the CA in triples with 11 in 1959, was 4-5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 4th-place Cannons lifted their record to 73-65.

In the top of the 12th, Lewis hit a tie-breaking solo home run to help the Cannons capture the win.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Lewis told the Cincinnati Times.
