The New York Imperials beat the Montreal Saints, 10-4, at Dyckman Stadium. Willie Dieter starred for New York. He went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. New York reliever Bill Holm picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Duke Edin was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Imperials are 13-53.

Dieter had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Imperials went on to win.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Imperials manager Ed Ziehl. "This one was nice to get."
