| Kings Earn 6-3 Home Win | The home crowd had a good time watching the Los Angeles Stars and Kansas City Kings get after it.
Kansas City beat Los Angeles on the strength of starting pitcher Johnnie Higgins's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. Del Lamb got the save, his 12th in 22 chances.
In the bottom of the third, Kansas City catcher Bob Burge had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Burge stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 2-0, Kansas City. For the game, he was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Kings manager Glenn Carney.
The Continental Association-leading Kings are 75-35.
