Foresters Prevail, 7-5, Over New York
The Cleveland Foresters weathered an outstanding game by New York second baseman Roxy Schilling to topple the Imperials, 7-5. Schilling was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Harry Tracy earned save number 2 this season. New York has now lost 5 in a row.

Sibby Smith had a big 3-run home run for the Foresters in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Cleveland leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Frank Williams, who finished 3rd in the FA in saves with 18 in 1959, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Foresters on top, 6-2.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Cleveland manager Jim Whitehead.
