| Saints Lose as Wolves Stage Late Rally | No one was more impactful than Kirby Copeland in the 11-4 Toronto win over Montreal. Copeland, who is tied for 8th in the CA with a .485 slugging percentage, was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Toronto pitcher Charlie Zimmerman got the win. He's now 1-0. George Polk was tagged with the loss. Toronto is 60-75 and Montreal, with the loss, 64-70.
Youngwood, Pennsylvania-born Carl Clark came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Wolves trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to left-center to put Toronto on top.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Clark told the Toronto News.
