Cleveland got a strong outing from Hugh Blumenthal as the Foresters defeated the Montreal Saints, 3-2, at Forester Stadium. Cleveland reliever Hank Berkowitz picked up the win. Jack Wright took the loss for Montreal. Cleveland goes to 77-56, Montreal to 63-69.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the fourth for Cleveland. That's when Larry McClure hit a run-scoring double off 1950 Kellogg Award winner Jack Wright to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Now that's what I call an exciting game," said Foresters manager Art Newton.
