Wilshire Park was the site for Federal Association action featuring the New York Gothams and Los Angeles Suns.

The Los Angeles Suns rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Grant Davis to a win, beating the New York Gothams, 3-0, at Wilshire Park. Picking up his 5th save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Norm Van Dyne.

Irv Evans, the Los Angeles catcher, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the first inning to make the score 3-0, Suns. For the game, Evans went 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Suns manager Bill Morrill. "This one was nice to get."

The Suns saw their win-loss record go to 39-67. At the same time, the Gothams fell to 44-60.
